I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and sympathies that have been expressed to my wife and I over the past few days.

We are doing our best to carry on without our furry friend by our side, and it is comforting to know that so many others will miss him as well.

Lucifer has passed.

Tonight, at about 8:40pm, while sleeping quietly on my lap, Lucifer died.



He took care of me when I was alone, fetched paper balls, loved me no matter what, and was my friend. He calmed Ben while Ben was still in the womb. He was a black lab trapped in a cat's body. I can't imagine my life without him at my side, and I will miss him more than I can say.

Run in the summer lands, Furry-Fur.


EDIT: Thank you everyone who sent thoughts and prayers for his well-being. It gave us the time we needed to say goodbye.

Kitty update

Spoke to the vet and the IV fluids are helping a little, but Lucifer is still very lethargic. Ultrasound will not happen until 6pm. I am going to stop by the vet on my way home and visit with Lucifer for a while.
